In 1992, my grandmother taught me the Torah since I was a teenager. Torah was essential in my life, although as a young man naive of the world and its secular exposure, I was obligated to excel with much effort. Ups and downs came in life, but as the scriptures stated clearly, "For a tzadik [righteous man] falls seven times and rises again."
